Blackhour is a heavy metal band from Islamabad, Pakistan. Formed in 2007 by guitarist Hashim Mehmood and Hassan Rauf, the band have released their debut album in 2011 via Yourlabel Records in USA and Afterwind Records in Pakistan.
HISTORY
Blackhour was assembled by Hashim Mehmood and Hassan Rauf followed immediately by two more members, Saad Javed (Toto) on bass and Diam Mehmood on drums. Blackhour recruited a third guitarist, Hassan Abbas and finally their first vocalist Ali.
After the first performance in PNCA Islamabad, the band was much appreciated for its music but got a low response on vocals and the show didn’t turn out as expected.
The band decided to change their vocalist and was soon joined by Zeeshan Ahmed in 2008, a close friend of Hassan Rauf, Hassan Abbas and Hashim Mehmood.
The new lineup followed three lead/rhythm guitars, their bassist Saad Javed, their drummer Diam Mehmood and Zeeshan Ahmed on vocals.
The concert in a College went successful with this new line up and the band decided to work on their first original song, “age of war”
