They are what i feel a high breed mixing elements of Death Metal/DeathCore.

Killroom‘,the second track sets the pace for the rest of the album with insane riffs which is food for any metal fan! The drums force-driven and the man behind the kit,Mark Evans does a commendable job of varying his beats with every opportunity he gets!!

The structure of the song itself is technically very sound, which is also prevalent in the rest of the songs!
Sounds strange, but,’She is Ruin‘,the third track almost feels like it has some metalcore elements in it,and stranger enough, you’ll fall in love with it. The song though has almost all elements of death metal.
The vocals,i’d like to state at this point, doesnt really have those insanely crazy and long and shrieky screams most death acts generalize with!
The vocals almost sound like those of the heavier bunch of metalcore bands.
But,yes,i guess this, incorporating their own styles into the band’s overall sound is what has brought this band the little fame they have been able to achieve over the period of time they have been playing in the circuit!
‘Disease Will Overcome‘ and ‘As We Destroy The Dreamers‘ are of more of deathcore tracks and are fast, brutal and cruelly technical!
Both songs have elements/layers which are though quite common in hardcore/deathcore genres!
‘Happiness Is Deceit‘ is what it’s title tells you about it;liberation is not so easy to achieve, from life and BTC cause they build up such a sound which you’d only get if you mashed up a handful of different bands from different genres of metal!
Toxins‘ is a short ‘interlude’ almost like a breakdown in the middle of a song. I have no idea if it was intended to be so,but, right after that kicks in the title track ‘Unveiling Retribution’ which is more of a death metal track where we get to see some insanse skills on the drums and vocals! The guitars work incredibly hard to create what i believe the ‘heaviest’ track of the album!
Terrorizer‘ ,though melody ridden, builds up to a more technical-death metal kind of song;very impressive and one of my fav tracks!
Born as Dust‘ has a groovy/thrash metal kinda feel; The ending track rides away with the insane riff that defines it with a short solo towards the end bringing and an insanely well composed and produced album to a fitting end!

Personally, this kind of music is very hard to judge, but I would rate them a 7.5/10.

Bless the Child is vocalist Brian “Jonesy” Jones , Mark Crumpler on guitar/vocals, Nate Mercer on guitar, Mark Evans behind the kit, Derek Young on guitar, and Steve Shelline on bass.

#Fact File-
BTC’s unique sound caught the attention of the right people, being featured on Maritime’s Recording’s Monuments Compilation CD with acts like Bleeding Through, Meshuggah, Winds of Plague, God Forbid, All Shall Perish, Misery Signals and many, many more.
BTC has graced the stage with acts such as The Black Dahlia Murder, Goatwhore, Marduk, Chimaira, The Human Abstract, MetalBlade recording artist Woe of Tyrants and others like The Crimson Armada, Terra Firma, and Miss May I. Artists that BTC have played with have definitely taken notice of the band. Johnny Rocket of Woe of Tyrants thinks BTC has what it takes. “Bless the Child is the Lance Armstrong of Ohio Metal. Intense drumming from the depths of hell, juicy guitar licks that will make you explore new parts of your body, and brutal vocals that keep you wanting more.” He expects BTC to be noticed.
