If you could see yourself
You put you on a shelf
Your vocal masturbate
Promise to nauseate
– ‘Fucking Hostile’, PANTERA
In a blink of an eye, one sees rapture. It started with a jinx and then went fast and furious. Ultimately, it ended with insanity. AdrenalineIndia’s debut effort, Mainstream Massacre Season I was indeed a neck-breaker.
The opening act, Virgin Creep, though off the hooks, provided a clean platform for the other bands. Halflong’s Phonetic Renage punched up big with their own brand of metalcore. They were shaky at the beginning with a mediocre cover of Trivium’s ‘Like Light to Flies’ but gradually made a good heck of the opportunity. But what really blasted out the evening were the lads from Darjeeling, If Hope Dies. The crunchy and progressive rhythms of the band literally broke my back. In continuation, with the best act of the evening, The Mechanix from Bangalore turned the humble Pub-Rock Fest into a Mosh-ground. With Bassist Siva who also plays for Blind Image, Chennai, the visitors conquered the arena quite effectively. The show concluded with Judas Ancestry ripping apart the remaining pieces along with the man himself, Ritu Raj Baruah.

The evening was witnessed by a huge number of Metal fans around Guwahati along with the special guests, David Koch (Founder, Rocka Rolla Events and Management), Ratan Bordoloi (Digital Suicide) and Shaun Klet (Founder, Indian Music Mug). At last but not the least Ritu Raj Baruah and Raj Sharma must be appreciated for providing awesome sound arrangements for the show. They surely came up with a big success and we wish Adrenaline India good luck for the future. Fists up!
